An inspiring educational field trip 🌞🌙
On November 1–2, 2025, the Office of the University Library, in collaboration with the Office of Student Affairs of King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), organized an activity under the project “KMUTT DNA & Spirit: The Spirit of King Mongkut’s Legacy.”
The event, titled “Tracing the Astronomical Path through the Knowledge of King Mongkut,” took place in Phetchaburi and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces.
Throughout the two-day, one-night journey, participants followed in the footsteps of King Mongkut (Rama IV) and his brilliance in astronomy. The trip began in Phetchaburi Province, visiting significant geological and archaeological sites, and concluded at King Mongkut Science Park at Waghor, Prachuap Khiri Khan.
The activity was honored by
👩🏫 Asst. Prof. Dr. Duangkamol Atsawamas, Chair of the Thai Language and Culture Program, and
👨🏫 Asst. Prof. Dr. Sara Meepholkit, Lecturer in the Interdisciplinary Tourism Program,
School of Tourism and Hospitality, Suan Dusit University,
who shared valuable and powerful insights throughout the journey.
This activity not only allowed participants to learn about “King Mongkut’s body of knowledge” but also to carry on the true spirit of being a descendant of King Mongkut. 🌠
